24°/4° Intake & 15°/4° Exhaust Valve Angles
Brodix built the BB-3 XTRA Series to take the conventional big block to the next level. These cylinder heads feature a valve angle that is rolled two-degrees. The BB-3 XTRA Series is available in a Rectangular-shaped or Oval-shaped intake port configuration, and both are offered in an out-of-the box version or completely CNC ported. The out-of-the-box versions features a CNC'd intake port match and bowls are blended while the intake ports, exhaust ports and combustion chambers remain as casted.
The Rectangle Port BB-3 XTRA 345 series and BB-3 XTRA 363 series, both with CNC ported 119cc combustion chambers, CNC bowls blended and ports matched, easily flow over 390 cfm. The Rectangular Port BP BB-3 XTRA series are 100% CNC ported and available in two port volumes, 366cc and 380cc. The 380cc version flows over 440 cfm.
The Oval Port BP BB-3 XTRA O series are also 100% CNC ported and available in three port volumes: 332cc, 351cc, and 365cc. This wide range of port volumes allows the oval port to compliment virtually any engine combination available. Port shape, port velocity, and the latest technology have propelled these cylinder heads to the top of their class.
While creating the 100% CNC Ported BP series BB-3 XTRA, the professionals at Brodix invested many long hours on the flow bench and at the track developing a completely ported cylinder head. The bottom line is that Brodix builds you the most accurate, best flowing out-of-the-box cylinder heads available at the best price. These cylinder heads accept standard BB-Chevy intake manifolds, and rocker arms. The exhaust ports are raised .600'' higher than stock (check all clearances for off the shelf headers). Valve cover rails are now raised to assure no oil leakage. Every casting is poured from A-356 virgin aluminum and tested before Brodix utilizes their in-house processes such as finish machining and heat treating to assure that you receive the best products for your hard-earned money. Other features include a thick deck surface that is compatible with nitrous, drilled and tapped holes on the ends for standard drive accessories, phosphorous bronze valve guides and hardened valve seats installed for unleaded fuel.
